Sox beat Pirates 5-3

by @ 6:46 am. Filed under 2008 Red Sox

In his second spring traning start, Daisuke Matsuzaka threw 47 pitches (28 strikes) allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and 1 run over three innings of work.  Daisuke who continues to build on his 2007 season, was followed by Jonathan Paplebon, Julian Tavarez, Craig Hansen and others. Rookie SS Argenis Diaz provided the offensive spark, going 3 for 4 scoring once while driving in 2 runs.  Diaz is a highly-touted defensive SS whom in fear of losing,  the Red Sox added to their 40-man roster prior to the Rule 5 draft. Manny Ramirez, Jason Varitek, and Sean Casey all had doubles, Casey also has a single.

The Sox will host the Reds today at Fort Myers.

See if another title will be won by purchasing Green Bay Packers Tickets for the season. One of the model franchises is in Foxboro as New England Patriots Tickets are tough to get. The NFC East is pretty competitive so get New York Giants Tickets to see the rivalries. With a new identity New York Jets Tickets are great for the new stadium.
