Red Sox Turn on Offense in Win Over Royals

by @ 4:32 am. Filed under 2007 Season

The first win is in the bag as the Red Sox hammered the Royals yesterday 7-1.  Kevin Youkliss hit a two run homerun and Mike Lowell drove in two runs.  Manny Ramirez had a nice game as well.  He went one for two with two walks and two runs.

Josh Beckett put together a very nice outing. He gave up one run on just two hits but he walked four with five strikeouts.  Then four relievers combined for four shutout frames to close out the game.  Maybe this bullpen isn’t as bad as people think it might be.

The rubber game is this afternoon.  Daisuke Matsuzaka makes his major league debut today in the get away day game.  I’m surprised this game isn’t on ESPN or something.

See if another title will be won by purchasing Green Bay Packers Tickets for the season. One of the model franchises is in Foxboro as New England Patriots Tickets are tough to get. The NFC East is pretty competitive so get New York Giants Tickets to see the rivalries. With a new identity New York Jets Tickets are great for the new stadium.
