April 17, 1918 at Fenway Park
Red Sox 5, Athletics 4  (3-0)

Wally Schang singled with the bases loaded and drove in two runs as the Red Sox completed a two run come back in the bottom of the ninth.  The Red Sox took a 2-0 lead into the eighth but the A’s scored two in the eighth to tie it and two in the ninth to take the lead before the Red Sox stormed back with a three run bottom of the ninth to finish their three game sweep over the A’s to start the season.

Harry Hooper tripled and scored a run in the contest while Stuffy McInnins singled twice and scored two runs.  Dutch Leonard had a shutout through seven innings before the wheels fell of the wagon but the hitters made sure he still got the win.  He gave up the four runs on nine hits and four walks with nine strikeouts.

See if another title will be won by purchasing Green Bay Packers Tickets for the season. One of the model franchises is in Foxboro as New England Patriots Tickets are tough to get. The NFC East is pretty competitive so get New York Giants Tickets to see the rivalries. With a new identity New York Jets Tickets are great for the new stadium.
