Red Sox Held to Five Hits In Loss to Browns

Browns 2, Red Sox 1  (33-22)

A solid pitching performance by Dutch Leonard went to waste as the Red Sox lost for the second time in three games against the Browns.  The game winning run came when the pinch runner Ernie Johnson tried to steal second base with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.  The throw came in low, skipped out into the outfield and Johnson came all the way around to score on the error.  Leonard’s numbers were solid.  He gave up the two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

The Red Sox finished with just five hits themselves.  One of those was a single by George Whiteman and he scored the lone Red Sox run.

See if another title will be won by purchasing Green Bay Packers Tickets for the season. One of the model franchises is in Foxboro as New England Patriots Tickets are tough to get. The NFC East is pretty competitive so get New York Giants Tickets to see the rivalries. With a new identity New York Jets Tickets are great for the new stadium.
